Pros

Instant hire, free coffee, min wage, 40 hour week

Cons

was hired as a "stocker" was told over phone it was a new position and I would get instantly hired if I made it to warehouse for interview/orientation. Once I began orientation after the instant hire "interview" it became apparent what was in store at this company. Began on Sat and was given basic instruction of organizing warehouse. Seemed & was simple, produce/freezer required using ladder(I was not fond of that & was not told that during interview). Freezer used First in, 1st out procedures, rotating out inventory was tiring/annoying and was made worse on 2nd & 3rd shelves. Labeling product and throwing out trash was also part of job. Main problem was the toxic environment. Everyone there only speaks Spanish & gossips/plays in cliques. Lunch felt like high school all over again and I could hear talk within hours of 1st shift there. Environment is more oriented for outgoing people and punishes those who keep 2 themselves and don't speak Spanish. Was told I was gonna be worked for the $18 wage, poster in break room stated min was $17.28 (lol). Work can be heavy for wage and relies on a lot of verbal commands, every day things are moved and pallets come in for inventory. Position will have you in unsafe and compromising positions, climbing on boxes to breakdown pallets, being on top of ladder to organize freezer. Company offers basic healthcare & 1st come 1st serve free lunch. Company also tries passing discount programs accessible to public as exclusive to company. On top of all this, parking in downtown is hard. Homeless camps are within a block from here and require being early for parking. Tickets can be given (u have 2 pay out of pocket) and break ins may happen. All doors are accessible thru app only and warehouse and especially break room are uncomfortably hot/humid. Got in for 1 week then left, not worth it. Red flag was instant hire and phone call begging 2 be there within an hour. If you speak Spanish and love being uncomfortable come on in.

Pros

None none none none none

Cons

Employees are convicts that come to work drunk or have just gotten out of jail. They steal meat from the coolers. The food isn’t stored or handled properly. Chefs are the worst. Very unprofessional and do not follow food safety. There is zero housekeeping.

Pros

Chef partners and workers are hard working & the company has a potential to grow.

Cons

Mostly cons. Not enough attention provided to operations & food safety / quality. A lot of violations to health & safety standards. Walk ins constantly malfunction. Infrastructure is bad because it’s built in a shared facility and multiple floors. Benefits are bad. No HR.
