Pros

Good working atmosphere, committed people at ground level. Competitive salary and commission structure.

Cons

A once proud 'customer-first' culture decaying quickly under the pressure to grow to 'Tyco-size'. The V's&B's draw in quality personnel who take heart in being "their customer's best service provider'. These quality personnel leave after tiring of damage control due to top line growth not channeled back into operational support.

Pros

This company was founded upon 10 Values and Beliefs that were very much a part of the fabric of the culture.

Cons

Upon the company being acquired, yes acquired despite their spin to the contrary, the culture has completely changed. This change has been accelerated by the current CEO who has replaced the founder in the top seat. As suspected by many, the culture has turned to a forecasting exercise and numbers driven atmosphere, from an environment where do the right thing and look at the big picture, were the daily focuses.

Convergint has great co-workers and V's & B They try to get staff involved in activities by having health challenges 50/50's

Cons

Unless you manipulate people you will not go anyplace. Management needs to train people not pass them over for new people. No room to move up unless you are willing to put your morals and ethics aside.
