Pros

People are nice and the workload is not that heavy(minimal overtime). Working hours are a little flexible.

Cons

I was a senior from my previous company and offered a junior job since they're saying because my experience was not automotive(an indication of how little they know about embedded systems). I got frustrated upon hearing a lot of things like calling the P.I. controller as Pi(pie), I was asked by my boss what FW means(understandable on some EU companies because FW is still SW for them but my boss is not from EU), and a senior engineer wasn't even sure if 0xD8 can really be assigned to a signed int8. They I hear the word fuzzy pronounced like it sounds pervert. I became a SW Technical Project Lead for 2 yrs without getting my old senior status back and no assurance of getting it on my 3rd yr. That's how I decided it's not the company for me.

Pros

Culture diversity. Good Work Life balance

Cons

Toxic management.(Encourage to work like sheep just follow orders and not to raise any questions, Office politics) Not keeping up with the market on salary and increments No differentiation between slackers and hard workers, if you are looking for your talents to be recognized then Continental is the worst place to work. Worst HR policies.(just read more reviews) Get Promotion only if you are bootlicker

Pros

- Work life balance and flexibility

Cons

- Incompetent employees are protected, a lot of talkers but less do-ers - Slim chance of getting promotion (minimum 7 years) and it depends on if your supervisor has strong communication skills

Continental Response

Dear colleague, thanks a lot that you took some time to give feedback. We are sad to hear you did not find your career path at Continental yet. We offer different career path, not just a leadership career (expert career, project management career) and not only the supervisor is taking the career decision based on your regular employee dialogues where you hopefully aligned goals and expectations, document performance, and open up career prospects. Through our digital talent management tool mySuccess @ Continental, individuals’ skills, capabilities and aspirations can be made visible throughout the company. In addition, Continental fosters a strong feedback culture. We believe in frank, honest, and constructive criticism between colleagues and between employees and their supervisors. The ability to reflect critically on your own performance, the support given by colleagues, and the freedom to try things out and to make mistakes all add up to a creative and empowering working environment. Maybe you can get back to your supervisor with your wishes again and with this (maybe) additional information. All the best, Continental Career Team
