Pros

- Legal department management consists of competent lawyers who afford their staff significant freedom to act - Relationship between department heads and rank and file lawyers is always respectful - Legal counsels with more generic commercial portfolio are well supported by specialized departments / teams in fields such as anti-trust or digital law.

Cons

- Salary evolution for non-tariff employees has consistently failed to match inflation since 2019. - HR department is an utter disaster and has done irreparable harm to Continental in Europe over the last years. Inquiries and questions are replied by meaningless management speech without content. Salary negotiations or reviews are denied flat out, despite support by the legal department head. - Very high employee turnover makes work very stressful, remaining employees often carry double work load for significant periods of time, again due to HR incompetency and failure to approve applications by department heads to refill existing positions for several months (!).

Pros

in ADAS domain conti has excellent products , so self learning may help you to groom. Incase you prefer this company, 1. Be silent 2. learn technicals from German counterpart (from Indian managers you can learn politics only, so avoid them)

Cons

I moved from VED to adas only because of following reason. 1. internal politics is very high in VED, so please avoid at any cause. 2. Long staying employees are cunning and political. they demand promotions and hike to their manager in advance and similarly managers stealing hikes from other well performing employee and distributing to their Pets. 3. Zero Exposure managers - In VED promotions are Fun and scam. Yes, an hardworking candidate wont be recognized, whereas managers pet will be upgraded to next level every 2 years once. Managers doesnt have any exposure to on technical, creating a process for company growth. Their only motto is to get promotions. 4. In 2022, reorg was done by VED head for name sake, but man behind that re-org is current chinese project head, serving as director , after this re-org conti lost many good employees , But he got promoted to director level. 5. Region specific : It is purely region specific company where middle level management comprised of Telugu and Tamil. Higher level reserved for only mallus. 6. No HR actions on political managers : for name sake HR will conduct survey, which will be trashed later projecting to top management. for past 5 years , leadership is the lowest scorers where employees complained abt their managers. but HR doesnt act on it till date.
