Pros

Good pay and benefits. Flexibility to be empowered to act (within reason). There are some good low level managers. Non-management personnel in other divisions are very willing to be helpful and network and assist, this will be your greatest asset.

Cons

Corporation is owned by German counterparts. Internal atmosphere has presence that pushes if your origins aren't from Europe then you are a lesser being. Not open to collective ideas unless its their own. Local US side management isn't bad until you start going up the ladder then it degrades. Wanting values only of their own and will expect you to reduce your ethics to met their agendas. Very disappointed. Will be brought in with all kinds of ideas and values only to find it is just a front. Conform or else. (German management will frown on division interaction, very silo thinking internal competition amongst divisions)

Pros

- Great colleagues. Lots of knowledgeable people here and real experts. - Ratio of nice-people-who-actually-know-what-their-doing over lazy-bums-and-know-it-all's is high. -> this is actually really great compared to other companies. - Balanced work load. (meaning, sometimes you have to work a lot, sometimes you slack a lot) - Overseas trip opportunity for the lucky teams. - Job security is pretty good... for the permanent employees. - Company is pretty huge and known in Europe. - Maybe a good starting point for new bloods - Great place to learn old tools.... OLD Tools. - We all want higher salaries but we are not underpaid, maybe just below industry average. (pro for me, you decide) - Some people think the policies are strict and unreasonable but they probably haven't seen worse. Its quite laid-back. - The building is nice and big and carpeted - Perfect for the mundane and the content

Cons

- Very late to adapt to new technologies - Process can be improved. A lot of redundancy. (almost archaic) - Some teams are lucky some aren't. - Very late to adapt to new technologies. This deserves another mention. - You need to know how to motivate yourself and give yourself something to look forward to. - Young employees might want more than the company has to offer. If you want action packed software, you'll probably be disappointed. - No we don't develop self driving cars. - No our technology is not advanced. See previous comments. - Food is far. - The toilets are horrible.

Pros

The pay is the only reason to stick around. Benefits are shrinking but mostly standard. Get your vacation up front or it takes forever.

Cons

The horror I feel is unconchenable each sunday afternoon as I prepare my mind and body for the abuse on Monday that comes my way just after entering the front doors. Maybe I could get more satisfying employment such as castrating swine or pumping tanks of feces but I continue to come to Veyance. Union folks are as entitled as possible sending management on constant goose chases all for the good of just a few. Management constantly leaves as soon as they realize that they have entered a world of pain and misfortune. Anti depressants are used like coffee just to keep the paychecks rolling for the folks that remain and or stuck there. Career opportunities are endless here but do you really want any other job other than the one you were tricked into originally? There are better ways to make a living. Go be a gravedigger before your life is cut short from all of the overload of work and stress from working here. Machinery is very old and not maintained. If this is the best you can find then keep looking. Everyone working there is. Your vacation is taken from you upon your exit. You are also forced to take it when they want you to.
