Pros

Flexible work hours, laid back, if coming from a larger organization you have a ton of low hanging fruit to capture on in terms of process development, standardization, etc.

Cons

Clariant is a perfect example of a Euro-centric company that has no accountability in any other regions. Large Supply Chain org in Europe (at least for my BU) and only one FTE in each region managing everything. They're moving towards moving operational/transactional roles to a service organization in India - Customer service, Master data, logistics support. In addition, there is zero accountability for anyone at Clariant. People go months and years without accomplishing anything and there is ZERO growth for anyone who desires to move quickly. Pay is below average. They will likely also shut the Charlotte NC office down with this new Huntsman Clariant merger.

Pros

They will give you whatever salary you ask for

Cons

The company culture overall looks good but don't join RPA team at all. No onboarding will be done. The smart Automations team doesn't have any structure, standards, and unrealistic expectations to complete the projects in 2 days and go live on day 3. The individual goals are like releasing 1 fte every month and you get projects worth 0.02 FTE in your bucket so you need to complete around 500+ project in a year to achieve your annual target. There's nothing like a team once you join on day one you'll be thrown into the project which none of the existing collegaue are willing to work bcz it won't get add in your goals as old process are pathetic and keeps failing. You're your own BA, architect, developer, tester and manager also as none gives damn if you're stuck with getting access or any other need. Just run away from smart Automations team. For rest of the teams the environment looks good.

Pros

Not many, it’s a very toxic environment. Save yourselves and stay away unless there is a major overhaul you’ll only be breaking your back at a job with no rewards.

Cons

Clariant does not promote from within, they continue to put people in management roles that are not suited for the position and/or have minimal knowledge of the department. The few people who are competent get overloaded with work (I was easily working 60 hours a week while my teammates left early or spent half their day away from their desks socializing while I picked up the slack) while the people who don’t do any work and are incapable of succeeding in the position are protected by management. When you go to HR or a manager to explain the situation they don’t do anything about it other then tell you that you are the problem.
