This is truly the worst place I have worked. I have worked for companies where sales is king, engineering is king and here cash flow is king and they don't care about anything else. They truly don't care about their customers. I've heard comments like they are going to pay more of we just won't serve them anymore. There is zero trust between managers to their employees. There is even zero trust between different divisions on Clariant. Even if you think your current job is garbage this isn't going to be better.

At the moment, it is hard to find the positives to work for Clariant given the current work environment, layoffs, imminent divestments and potential sale of the company. I've worked for several different companies and Clariant truly does not care about their employees well being. The layoffs are draining and put a huge strain on the organization for all the service units - IT, Procurement, HR, Logistics. They cut jobs but expect the same service levels and same activities to be continued. As a leader in the organization, it has been hard to motivate teams and see the light at the end of the tunnel when the company has no idea where they are going. In addition, the other biggest issue I have with Clariant is the amount of unethical / unprofessional leaders that have been allowed to continue their behavior for decades - fabricating numbers to help a business case, or laying people off to move their job to a shared service center and then finding out the job cannot be moved - finally going back to the employee to say, "sorry, you actually have a job".
