Pros

Lots of vacation time--I almost feel guilty for having some much time off. The company is strong and stable. The company provides fitness facilities and nice cafeteria. Some people go to exercises and have a shower during lunch break. Most people go to lunch at company's cafeteria and it is easy to socialize with coworkers. The foods are good and prices are very reasonable.

Cons

It is very hard to get things done. Lots of unnecessary and absurd procedures to follow. Some people only care about following company's procedures or policies and keep themselves out of trouble. It is so frustrating if you want to get something done.

Pros

Has been very good for my personal growth as well as helping me reach goals I did not think possible professionally and financially. They pay very well with a generous bonus program. Benefits are top notch.

Cons

Duplication of efforts across several areas within the businesses and technology. Too many offices of 25 or less folks scattered across the country. They have never completed many of the acquisitions they have made over the years. This lead to many little "kingdoms" running on thier own with the title of "Citigroup" in name only. I encounter different groups that were acquired years ago, but still consider Citigroup to be "them". Conversely, there are several of the old school corporate types that still refer to the company as "The Bank" or "Citicorp". News flash, this company is no longer just a bank nor is it Citicorp.

Pros

Given the company's size and scope of financial services offered, there are lots of opportunities to network and move around within company as your career interests change. Compensation is on the higher side if you work in the right group (Markets and Banking).

Cons

This is more possible only if you work at headquarters in New York. It's a huge company with a lot of bureaucracy. Morale has been pretty low lately given all the negative issues surrounding the company and about three rounds of layoffs since the beginning of the year.
