Pros

as per usual - wfh! and compensation

Cons

VPs/Execs bullying, getting their own way, silos, politics, resistant to change. Recruit in bright talent then stifle it because the company won't change. They recently launched the people deal - Fran Katsoudas should be ashamed of the way they allow awful management to behave as they do - goes completely against the people deal . ZERO opportunities to move inside the company

Pros

Great cultural diversity, company perks in terms of dental cover and stock plans, etc.

Cons

Cisco is still built on the 'progression is based on time served, not merit' model, where the longer you've been here, the more you'll get. For young people starting out, out-performing their colleagues, not the greatest motivation to have. Also, for new fields, it's harder to define your career. Avoid if you're young.
