Remote environment, some well known client accounts.

Hello, this is Cherice Schmidt, EVP – Client Services. While it’s positive to read you have benefitted from the opportunity to work flexibly, it’s concerning to read about some of your personal experiences. I feel this is something that is difficult to fully address through an anonymous platform, I would encourage all employees to bring forward such concerns to leadership as soon as possible. If you have not already, please contact your leader or if you are comfortable, I am more than happy to have a conversation with you in confidence. You can reach me at Cherice.Schmidt@cielotalent.com. We take these matters extremely seriously and will address them appropriately. Thank you for your feedback, I look forward to hearing from you.

Such a Sad Story

Pros

Working from home. Flexible hours if needed for an appointment or an event. Great colleagues and in my experience I have had great management.

Cons

It’s very sad to see the company that I worked 8+ years decline the way it has. What was once a joyful culture, has become toxic. Individuals are so worried about their jobs that they will throw their colleagues under the bus without blinking an eye. This is not specific to employees, but management as well. The collaboration that once was great, open minded, inclusive, and market driven, is gone. People are terrified of losing their jobs. Excellent long term employees are being forced out or leaving because the unrealistic demands, expectations, or lack of transparency. Trust is lost among employees and management due to constant change and layoffs. I have been told that the only constant at Cielo is change, but how about consistency? I have flexed and adapted to change to accommodate the demands of this company over the past 8+ years and was always happy to do it because of the culture Cielo encompassed. I worked on 8 clients in my tenure and loved the experience, the excitement, and opportunity to change a person’s life along with making the company better because of the people we hired. The changes that are happening now are slowly destroying a once great company, due to loss of trust and transparency. We preach about building trust with the client but it is almost impossible to perform top tier when you lack that trust on your own team because the company infrastructure is so unstable. Confidence is gone in employees and management due to micro management from the top down. Unfortunately, due to this, the negative effects have trickled down to all levels.

Hello, this is Marissa Geist, CEO. I appreciate the honesty in your feedback, it’s sad to read you feel the culture at Cielo has declined over the years. This is particularly disheartening as I personally believe our culture sets us apart in the industry. I acknowledge that change can be challenging, and I apologize if you feel this has impacted your trust and transparency of myself and my leadership team. I read the reviews we receive, and I can assure you that we take these comments seriously and are committed to addressing each of them. And I absolutely agree that trust and transparency extend to both our internal teams and clients. It’s disappointing that your personal situation led to miscommunication – it’s always our intention to support all our people and recognize their efforts regularly and I apologize that you felt your concerns were not adequately addressed. I see you have now have left the organization bur I would like to invite you to discuss your concerns with me directly. If you are comfortable, you can contact me at Marissa.Geist@cielotalent.com. Hi, this is Dan Bates, SVP – Global Talent Operations. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience working at Cielo. I understand that as we move to a new location for our employees based in Manila, this may cause slight changes in travel time and transportation for some individuals. However, it would be useful to understand your comments on a hybrid model, as we're currently offering our people the opportunity to work flexibly through this transition and beyond. I would like to clarify that we are not changing our work requirements at this time. All employees will continue to work remotely, and come into the office on a hybrid basis only as necessary. Our flexible work arrangements remain in place during this transition period. We are always open to feedback, and you can contact me at Daniel.Bates@cielotalent.com if you would like to discuss this further.
