Pros

Flexibility of work schedule. The company has the 9/80 schedule whereby employees get ecery other Friday or Monday off. Corporate practices are often clear and open.

Cons

Shareholder value is of utmost importance to the company, even to the detriment of the employees sometimes. They company has no qualms in letting you go they need to increase shareholder value.

Pros

Everyone is very nice, very laid back environment. Worked as an intern in downtown Houston in 2009. 9/80 workweeks are awesome with every other Friday off. Excellent 401k benefits, even for interns.

Cons

Lots of corporate compliance meetings and so forth that seem to be very redundant in nature. Insane concern for safety, which is a good thing, but I think they take it a little too far. With the recession, they were unable to extend many offers to interns.
