Pros

Ability to work with various groups across the globe. Ability to laterally move to positions in other areas. Opportunities to develop and implement technology in a large enterprise. Fairly transparent performance dialog sessions and review. Benefits are good compared to smaller companies Some opportunities for travel (though this has become very limited in the last 5 years) Nice people and good work envirionment overall. Focus on employee safety, including workstation evaluations and physical conditioning if needed.

Cons

Sometimes its hard to resolve issues across multiple teams or multiple sites. Siloed functions can make it hard to get cross-team projects completed. New trend in offshoring IT jobs to Chevron employees in lower cost geographies Slow pace of technology rollouts

Pros

Excellent safety culture, large corporation with many job opportunities, management encourages work/life balance, global company that embraces diversity, Chevron Way - documented company philosophy for how to conduct business and work with others

Cons

Too many processes and procedures, knowledge transfer skills are lacking, resources can be difficult to acquire at times (do more with less mentality), training could be improved
