Pros

I'm so blown away by all the bad management comments! At the Round Rock Texas location, the director is great...a joy to work for. She is fun, smart, and has the very best intentions for Challenger...which is my number one priority too. The kids are amazing and so smart. It's fun to teach to kids who actually listen and know what it means to respect their teachers and others. I love teaching at Challenger.

Cons

At times, I do feel the curriculum needs updating because some things are incorrect. But I do believe it will be addressed and fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime, be creative and figure it out...with guidance from your director!

Pros

* Great educational environment * Other teachers are very helpful and want to see you succeed * Very good way to get experience in the teaching field without credits.

Cons

* You may be asked to take over a class that you have never seen or practiced any material for upon walking in at 8am. * Stressful environment due to on-the-spot situations happening frequently

Pros

The job is as good as you want to make it. Challenger has high (some might say unrealistic) expectations for their teachers, but they also have a wonderful curriculum which is fun to teach. The management varies from school to school, and it is your headmaster/director that makes all the difference.

Cons

They see their teachers as disposable and their benefits are nothing to get excited about.
