Pros

The teachers cared, and the children really did learn a lot. The curriculum was great. That's all I can say about the good.

Cons

Where do I start? The management didn't care about you unless you fit in to their political mold. They literally made me watch movies about how the public school system was set up like the Natzies. (What?) They wouldn't let me take time off for my husbands surgery or my cousins wedding. Even though I requested it a month in advance They treat you like you're an idiot Their rules are always changing. I wouldn't trust them to save my life. You I quit because I couldn't work for such a dishonest company

Pros

Challenger is a great company for people interested in education or someone getting their education. The hours are consistent throughout the school year and the pay is generous for the work involved. If you enjoy working with children, teaching and guiding then Challenger School is a great place to work!

Cons

The downsides is that under change in management, the company has become more stingy and careful with their allocation of hours, materials, and resources.

Pros

To say that this job is unique is an understatement. Everything is laid out for the staff and if you work at it, you will be effective. The objectives, expectations and curriculum are clearly stated. Unlike other private schools, you are not expected to write a curriculum. My peers are fun, energetic, intelligent and hard-working. My Directors and Headmaster clearly care about the school and their staff. They are approachable and give advice on the spot when needed. I appreciate honest feedback to make me a better teacher. We are also treated to lunches, nice banquets, unique gifts, and bonuses.

Cons

I wish there was more time in the day to do everything I need. It is hard work, but the results are worth it.
