Pros

Great training, although time-consuming. Free training. The idea of working for yourself is thrilling. Very supportive environment. Many networking opportunities.

Cons

High commission split when just starting at 50/50. There are so many fees to being in real estate, that I was terribly under-capitalized and I am now considering going back to work full-time and making real estate a part-time thing. Not a lot of hands-on guidance. No one will tell you how to handle your own business or give advice on things like, how & when to pay taxes, etc. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that next April doesn't bring me down too much financially.

Pros

The flexibility of making your own schedule. The company has the resources and training to help you grow your business.

Cons

It's expensive to start to work for the company and commission split is high, in addition the have other fees that you must pay so you end up with a check that is not worth the time and headache.
