      Pros

      I really enjoyed most of my time at Catalent. The people in QC, AD, PD, MF and QA were great and we worked well together. Compensation was good and there were opportunities for advancement and cross-training. There was also a decent consideration for work-life balance.

      Cons

      SLT did not get certain systems in place when the site was getting ready, so we were always behind in certain aspects, as a site. Additionally, SLT was not interested in giving departmental managers and leadership the support needed to be highly successful. Therefore, all the great people and middle management that were there when I started began to leave. When we started to get worried about the future of the site and asked about it, global leadership obfuscated their intentions and told us we had nothing to worry about. Suddenly, when it became apparent that they made some financial miscalculations, they shut down the site. There were people who had been hired the week before the announcement. Some people had just moved from out of state to take a position there. The way the news was broken to the site was highly unprofessional and insensitive to the real people this was affecting. Then a company representative made claims relating to severance that turned out to be untrue and they just didn't care.

      Pros

      The work you're doing helps save and better lives every day. Most employees are great, helpful. Manufacturing in a pristine environment, cutting edge technology. Pay is among highest you'll find in Bloomington. Catalent really took care of employees during COVID- especially hourly or Manufacturing.

      Cons

      Bloomington's HR was the worst of the worst. People promoted for no reason other than being favorites, lack of response, cruelty, gossip, and it all stemmed from the top (locally.) Amazing things have happened at the site, but imagine how many more would have if the right person were employed instead of an adult version of a playground bully? To reward that behavior with MORE responsibility (and power) makes me rethink everything Catalent claims to stand for. Good luck. I was overworked and underpaid, but many are overpaid so I think that as long as you have the right person in your corner you'll be fine. Although one would never expect to be treated that way in a professional setting. PTO is mediocre at best.
