Pros

A few talented individuals in the team who are genuinely trying to make a difference. Exposure to procurement processes (though poorly managed).

Cons

Chaotic leadership: Priorities shift constantly with no explanation or transparency, leaving teams confused and demotivated. Poor people management: No skill mapping, no development plans, and zero effort to understand or support employee needs. Toxic micromanagement culture: Even micromanagement is micromanaged, creating inefficiencies and frustration. Obsession with superficial consulting frameworks: Overuse of McKinsey/Genpact jargon in presentations, but no real execution or results. Lack of domain expertise: Project managers and leadership lack basic understanding of strategic sourcing and procurement, leading to poor decisions and no real problem-solving. Environment: Some leaders treat employees like school children, with condescending communication and no accountability. Short-sighted approach: No long-term planning or culture-building. The "hire & fire" mentality prevails. Mismatch of words and actions: While they speak about being a product-driven company, the environment resembles a BPO setup with outdated practices.

Pros

Stable industry with strong business leadership. Decent work/life balance. It pays well if looked at locally, but not that great nationwide.

Cons

People are not promoted within the organization. Leaders look outside first - unless you're a diversity hire... in that case, the sky is the limit. Poor leadership EQ, a senior leader will not even acknowledge you in the elevator. Diversity and inclusion are extreme. Talent will be hired based on D&I qualities first, and the actual know-how will be secondary.
