Pros

I manage my own territory so mostly am accountable to my customers. My customers have become friends and I have minimal communications with management. Overall a very easy going job.

Cons

Pay is probably below average and I really don't like the rating system they use for reviews. Very cookie cutter and anonymous. Onex is putting the screws down on management and it shows. Constant emphasis on cost cutting is tiresome. Doubts about future job security since the company is relatively small compared to the competition and doesn't have the resources for new products.

Pros

Truly dedicated and talented professionals working hard to deliver great products in an incredibly vindictive corporate environment. The people doing the day to day jobs are great.

Cons

Three letters: RPA Relative Performance Assessment Management EPIC FAIL. It is not Leadership, it does not inspire. It will cost the company talented and knowledgeable people. The environment is FEAR.

Pros

It is an honor to work at Carestream- we have innovative products and are developing new products that truly are leading edge and improve the jobs of the people using the products. My colleagues are fabulous people, smart, dedicated and great at their jobs. In my role, I feel I am empowered to make decisions and drive the success of the company. I am only limited by budgets and the number of hours in the day.

Cons

The management team has been very open in communications and has quarterly meetings where all employees can participate and learn about the finances. The financial openness is refreshing, and could be extended to other aspects such as the benefits to the performance management in the long term (which seems to be causing people to be individual performers and not team-players). The incentive decreases each year for longer-term employees with the employee ranking.
