      Since Kodak bought Imation, then sold health business to Onex then became Carestreamcompany has been on downward spiral.

      Pros

      Some good people and good products. Centre of excellence in good location. World wide presence. Innovative.

      Cons

      Management clueless,focussing efforts in justifying their own positions, which has made the customer base very pessimistic and in trying to save money, have become very punitive relative to the 'benefits package' and do not appear to have any concept of work life balance. Too many closet accountants running service organisation by statistics which is contrary to any service offerings.

      Still a company that is too top heavy and has not yet completely divorced itself from its old Kodak ways.

      Pros

      Decent benefits, employees treated fairly. Salary is average to above average. Annual reviews are ALWAYS done in a timely manner. Salaried employees have flexibility to balance family and work life.

      Cons

      Still too top heavy, so much duplication of effort causes too much waste. Still think like an old big dominant company, they are far from "agile" in the marketplace. Decision making and projects have to go through so many layers that nothing ever gets done.

      Pros

      Interesting products across the business. Joined in 1997 and was a good educational experience. Smart people.

      Cons

      Managers take care of their favorites where they do the right thing or not. They need to get rid of the lower 10 % percent. All they dead wood as gone the first year they did it. That was 5 years ago. No celebrations, they work you into the ground, expect you to cancel vacation if a product launch is due.No advancement in pay codes I have have not changed since 2000.
