Pros

Name brand recognition so most customers are familiar with concept; quality vehicles; great to meet new people and help them without bias since paid same regardless vehicle purchased. No games to play with customers. Good money when sales happening. Schedule flexibility when achieve President's Club level. Good people to work with.

Cons

Often lots of down time; unpredictable income; most departments and employees not really emotionally invested in company. Is a job. As training gets more formalized, less individuality/skills necessary to be successful. Long days, often hard to tell if worth time spent with customers since may more may not buy that day. Great way to blow a beautiful weekend.

Pros

It is what you make of it, decent pay, advancement opportunities, many locations to choose from if you get tired of you're current position/location, bonus's, vacation days.

Cons

Moving departments is a challenge, hours of operation, pay scale stops…..if you like the position you're in.
