Pros
The Kearny Mesa location had a wonderful and supportive culture. It was very encouraging and the staff came together during times of trials. The mechanics took pride in the quality of vehicles they purchased and accommodating any issues that customers may have had after purchasing the vehicle. They stood by their word. The layout was open, no cubicles which allowed associates to communicate easier to others on the floor for assistance.
Cons
The Inglewood location was awful, Of courses some of this was impacted by the surrounding neighborhood, the frequent fraud, homeless people coming into the store and police certainly added to the already hostile environment. There was no cohesive culture, it was every Man/woman for himself. The training was unenthusiastic and seemed pointless. Management was either too nice or too aggressive. It seemed the managers needed more training on building people skills and implementing a positive company culture. Both stores required working Sundays which I hated, but that's what happens when you work part-time in sales. The Vehicles at the Inglewood location were subpar and I often received complaints from customers about the lack of response from the mechanics after they had purchased a vehicle. The lot was not replenished as often as it needed to be and I cam across several vehicles that had flat tires on the lot. Complete lack of initiative. The floor layout consisted of open tables and cubicles where many employees hid away to be on Facebook or simply avoid taking more leads. You work Holidays - again the results of working part-time, brand new, in sales.
