Pros

Cambly is a great place to work. Even if you don't have a teaching degree, you can still work here. It's all about carrying on a conversation. They have great support and help. It is important to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. You work as an independent contractor and as such, set the hours you want to work. Excellent work-life balance and great as a side job.

Cons

Sometimes, there are not a lot of students online and it depends on your timezone but usually, the work is steady. Do not expect to make a house payment with this work. This is an excellent side job though.

Pros

No issues with payment, payment through paypal every week.

Cons

There used to be priority hours available in many time slots. There used to be an abundance of students. Now it is hard to get hours and students. Support is slow. Automated system means you get booted out for a week if your internet experiences a hiccup and you can't answer a handful of calls.

Pros

Team: Working with awesome people is definitely the best perk of working at Cambly. The founders are genuinely good, caring people and every member of the team is smart, interesting, and passionate. Being a country manager: I'm basically setting my own goals, strategies to get there, with much support from the team. It's very satisfying to connect with real customers and see the positive impact I am making. Room for creativity: Creativity is very much embraced here--regarding both strategies and product. As long as I have a good cause and data to back up an initiative, anything can be done!

Cons

Need to be a self-manager: The company is still small, and there is no one to tell you what to do, especially you are focused on a specific market. Although there are supports from the team, at the end you are responsible to motivate yourself and find directions for your own project
