Pros

There are many reasons to consider working for CAMBLY; however, I will post my reasons: 1. I get paid weekly 2. I can determine the number of hours that I work 3. I have a consistent and steady flow of students; most likely because I am a professional teacher. 4. I am very structured and I try to individualize my lesson for each student; of course there is overlap, especially if the student is preparing for an English proficience Exam. 5. Now that group classes has started, I think in a few more months the bugs will be worked out and will be even more enjoyable.

Cons

The Cons do not outweigh the benefit but here are my cons: 1. I knew when I signed up the compensation I would receive. I wish there was money offered in addition based upon student feedback 2. I don't get to read what students write about me; however, I am told by them that they are very pleased with my performance. 3. If students could read the comments of other students I would benefit by getting more of my target students which are those preparing for an English Proficiency Exam.

Great Place to Work

Pros

I love working for Cambly. If you want to work for a company that gives you total freedom it is a great fit for you. You get to work on your terms and can work as much or as little as you want. No more asking the boss for time off or trying to squeeze in a little overtime to make ends meet. They pay every Monday and they pay on time every time. No more need for detailed lesson plans or lots and lots of paperwork. At Cambly you can prepare as much or as little as you want.

Cons

Pay could be better but considering how stress free the work is, it's not worth complaining too much about that. Also, now that they have introduced group sessions, there could be better screening of the students. Other than that I don't have any cons to speak of.

Pros

Cambly is a great place to work. Even if you don't have a teaching degree, you can still work here. It's all about carrying on a conversation. They have great support and help. It is important to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. You work as an independent contractor and as such, set the hours you want to work. Excellent work-life balance and great as a side job.

Cons

Sometimes, there are not a lot of students online and it depends on your timezone but usually, the work is steady. Do not expect to make a house payment with this work. This is an excellent side job though.
