Pros

Flexible hours, weekly punctual pay

Cons

The system is stacked against the teachers. You only get paid for the minutes you talk, with the exception of $2.50 guaranteed for a priority hour in which case you get flooded with calls from people who don't speak a lick of English who heard about the app from some youtuber or who are just calling to joke around with their friends while they're drinking on a Friday night. Nevermind that many are lying in bed with not enough clothing on and possibly eating. Or you might sit there in silence for 45 minutes and when there are 15 left, you suddenly start getting calls. The tutor-rating system is also a joke. You never know if you are being rated fairly or by whom or why; there is no feedback from superiors because there is no contact with them. If you need help or support, forget about it. It doesn't exist. If you make a suggestion, forget about a response.

Pros

Convenient- work any hour that you want, as much as you want Great people- meet people from all over the world and hear their interesting stories. Good experience- a lot of students want to practice English grammar so this gives tutors good opportunities to practice teaching and explaining concepts to students.

Cons

Lower pay than most companies
