Pros
Teaching on has turned out to be one of the most interesting and gratifying experiences of my life. It provides a window into other cultures that even extensive travel would be hard pressed to duplicate. It is sometimes amazing the kinds of information students reveal about their societies. There is certainly a learning curve for new tutors, but I found my ability to provide a good learning experience for students at all levels improved fairly quickly. A tutor cannot be everything to all students, but it was a great feeling when I began to see particular students coming back because they appreciated my effort and teaching style.
Cons
Finally, while the pay is not an awful lot, I like the fact that I have no travel or business expenses with Cambly.
