Pros

Nothing really. The benefits are ehh. The training is non existent. Been to 4 different Caliber shops and they're all different. If you manage to get paid commission on a good flat rate by yourself, and your writers, parts coordinators and manager are all really good at their job, maybe you can make a little more than $60k/year.

Cons

Every shop is different in environment. Caliber acquires smaller shops and just calls the caliber, so most of them have a giant learning curve of doing it the caliber way. 3/4 of the shops I've been at have had horrendous or missing equipment. Because of the non existent training, most of employees are trying to figure things out most of the time leading to a lot of stress. Every piece of the puzzle has to work efficient enough to move the car through production or else you as a tech have sitting cars. Sitting cars don't get you paid.

Pros

Great culture, good leadership most places

Cons

Needs to grow balls and tell insurance companies they need us we don’t need them and make contracts better for employees in the shops
