Pros

Salary was competitive and there is likely to be a store nearby to minimize commute times(the primary reason I chose to work at a CVS)

Cons

For the "Pharmacist In Charge" (PIC) there is a constant, unflagging high level of stress due to ever-increasing number of tasks piled on, rarely anything taken off the load. The sheer diversity of requirements "added on" to the PIC's responsibilities over my 6 years with CVS was truly amazing. The district manager had eyes only for his bonuses, to the detriment of everyone "beneath" him.

Pros

1. Paycheck 2. 20/30% discount in the retail stores 3. No issues getting most tools that I need for my job (headset, computer, office setup, etc). 4. Really nice fitness center IF you are located on the Shea campus

Cons

This company seems to be built upon the silos from multiple acquisitions, and little to no thought seems to have been part of the process to integrate systems or all these multiple mergers. Job duplications. Sr leaders building their kingdoms. For MedD, they have a 1 star rating with CMS (as bad as you can have). The senior leaders seem to make decisions without weighing alternatives. IT support is horrible, with multiple support requests having to be created for multiple departments, & you have to chase them down to get them complete. I even overhead one of the managers telling her employees that a specific person (by name) wasn't hired due to not passing the background check. Thi is by far one of the worst companies that I've ever worked for. I feel for the customers that are caught up with the various system, and do not plan to be here long.

Pros

A normal paycheck every two weeks and benefits for medical dental and vision. two weeks paid vacation.

Cons

Salary managers do not get paid for holiday time and half or extra holiday incentive. Pay shift supervisors 9 per hour and give them keys to store and safe codes. This low rate of pay makes them feel not as keyed managers but cashiers and changes their work ethic. Most of the time during closing shifts or opening the first two hours of stores you will only have one cashier and manager on duty or sometimes even just one manager...how is that good for customer service. even store managers might have to clean restrooms and vacuum floors. Store managers and assistants do everything at cvs and receive medium to low pay grade and horrible bonuses.
