Cons

In my opinion... High stress. Poor management from District level to CEO level. $10,000 deductible before medical will cover anything. 60-80hr work weeks are normal. Manager at times may be the only person in the front store. No sales floor help. EVER! AUDITS! AUDITS! AUDITS! You can be fired at anytime, for any reason. There is no work life balance at any level of the organization.

It could be a good place to work. Pay is good, until you consider working around the clock and the stress level.

Cons

The manager said it was a challenging position in the interview. Unfortunately the challenge is management is disorganized. Everyday is a new emergency. Unreasonable work loads with conditions that set up failure. Management thinks 80 hour weeks and around the clock is normal. The finger pointing is in abundance along with stress.

Pros

It may only be because I have such a great manager, but in my opinion it doesn't get much better than CVS. Base pay is excellent--bonuses and stock options are outstanding. Expectations and hours are reasonable, which is rare in the IT world.

Cons

Healthcare plans have gotten progressively worse over the past several years. Also there's WAY more red tape than is absolutely necessary.
