Pros

Flexible work hours , work from home option is good Most of the managers are not rigid and open for listening to its resources Salary revisions are OK

Cons

Promotions suck you , on average you need to wait for 5-6 years for promotions Lots of things are not process driven but they are people driven Lots of control from Canadian management, the offshore management does not have much control over the project management they merely act as resource managers Work life balance in India is not good

Pros

Fast-paced, dynamic company Growth-oriented company Work with smart, talented people Company has a willingness to take calculated risks Reasonably high level of autonomy

Cons

A lot of pressure on quarter by quarter results, Sr. Management is focused on the short term Many people have to work far too many hours on a regular basis Poor IT and communication tools and processes, especially for a technology company Benefits plan relatively bare bones

Pros

- good working atmosphere (even when showstoppers came up everyone was relaxed and professional until the problem was resolved) - great staff days out (quadbiking, go-carting, etc always something exciting) - great project standards (coding, project processes - made code review easy) - Great online intranet knowledge base where you can find most things related to whatever role you do - what you put in you get out (efforts are usually recognised and rewarded due to the good project structures employed)

Cons

- everyone is asked to step up during frequent project deadlines and this does mean having to work compulsory long long days sometimes - at software engineer/designer/tech lead level, the longer you stay on a project, the more dispensable you become to the project (which goes against how they advertise Logica as being a company where you can move around a lot - although I did notice the mangers got rotated quite frequently)
