Pros

I have been working with CGI for last 2 years as an associate software engineer . Joined as a fresher. Good work culture . no workload.Awesome work life balance. Good hike. A place to work with comfort.

Cons

Now as I joined as a fresher, the above positive points appear as a blocker for my career growth. Because a budding engineer should be put in an work environment , where he will face lot of challenging works frequently, so that the turbulent journey will make him technically very strong, enable him to take enough workload and will make him confident in his professional career. But CGI completely fails to inspire and utilize the aspiring freshers . So career growth becomes very less. This is the worst part. No challenging project. No good technical works. Very less onsite opportunity. Leads / managers domain in this area. Juniors keep dreaming . Lol Very less learning opportunity. CGI does not understand the difference between the Training program and Workshop. Therefore keep making failed attempts to teach the technologists within 4 or 6 hours. It's really waste of time. And the funny thing is that , the internal review report has been showing that the Training and Development is one of the negetive three areas for two years . And the HR is saying that it needs to be improved but at the EOD no effective step is taken to improve. At the end I would say Experienced ppl need comfort. Juniors want learning opportunities. That's why it is very good company for ppl having more than 7 /8 years experience. But it's very disappointing company for the aspiring juniour engineers .
