Pros

Have many opportunities for advancing your career. The compensation is competitive. Its a worldwide company so there is always the possibility of relocation. The work you will do is challenging and rewarding. The people who you work with are some of the best people around - hard working, family oriented and genuinely nice.

Cons

When working on a client account you can tend to lose the CBRE coroporate culture and take on the culture of the client.

Pros

The company's reputation as being the largest full-service real estate company in the world. Opportunities to meet some of the industry's brightest talents.

Cons

Salaries are frozen, management is archaic, sales professionals are unprofessional, management rarely supports staff when tension arises between sales professionals and their supporting staff, there is a lack of respect for support staff and there is an unspoken caste system within the company. CB Richard Ellis only cares about making record profits at the expense of its employees while the upper management receives bonuses even in this economy!

Pros

The company is very committed to community projects-Heat Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, Habitat for Humanity. They also provide a lot of "fun activities" for the office.

Cons

Work Environment: The brokers are allowed to treat the other employees how ever they want and then the employees are told to "not take it personal". Also, deadlines don't apply to field offices although you are working 12 hour days, weekends and holidays at home to make sure that your work is completed. Policies and Procedures are also ignored by the field offices and allowances are made by management which puts extra work on the accountants--but hey, the brokers are the ones that bring in the money. Nearly impossible to take time off. Benefits: Horrible. Health insurance is non-copay plans. The company provides $750 towards your health insurance but these plans are only good if you are rarely sick (which you should be--see above)
