Pros

Good benefits, salary is fair,

Cons

terrible management, atmosphere of who you know, not what you know. Lots of little autocrats who rule by intimidation. No mentoring. bad work/life balance. They offer things like California Fridays (afternoons off) but it is frowned upon if you take advantage of them. I realized I made a mistake going there on my very first day on the job.

Pros

The products are some of the most interesting products you can work with. You definitely have job security due to the poor design they are constantly breaking.

Cons

The company will constantly lie to employees and use threats of firing people. HR is the worse they run the company and seem to have a party every quarter during the layoffs. The blame game is played constantly and they will threaten you into working at least 60 hrs a week even though you only are getting paid for 40. You are required to travel on Sunday to a site then do not get home until Saturday. When you calculate your wage per hour you end up make around minimum wage.

Pros

Good pension plan. The work can be interesting if you get on the right project. Some smart people.

Cons

The company is run by people who have spent their entire careers there and can't imagine anything other than the status quo. Innovation is not required, encouraged, or rewarded. Bureaucratic. Everything runs by timesheet and charge number. CEO is only concerned with cost-cutting. Everything else is window-dressing. (Imagine a tech company anywhere making people pay for their own coffee. They did a cost analysis and when they saw the monthly coffee bill, ...) A great place for somebody with limited ambition to watch your career waste away until you can start collecting that pension.
