      Worst management I've ever experienced

      Pros

      Flight industry is a plus for some. Pay is ok, not the best in class.

      Cons

      Everyone is feeling depressed and searching for new jobs. People are yelling at each other during meetings. An engineering manager recently hired a group of 15 engineers, tasking them with creating tests for a long-neglected legacy codebase that hasn't seen any updates for five years. Her approach to team building and management seems uncertain, yet she received a promotion based on her involvement in the situation. There are no QA processes in place. When requesting knowledge transfer, the typical response is, "You'll have to figure it out on your own."

      Pragmatic management with forward-looking vision. Strong focus on customer satisfaction. Instructor incentive scheme to boost productivity.

      Pros

      Many good work colleagues but UK H.Q. management lacking.

      Cons

      UK management fail to recognise staff aptitudes and achievements and also fail to support staff in pursuance of their duties. Some UK management do not fully embrace the organisations 'One CAE' culture which IS embraced by HQ in Canada and other world wide organisations. In my experience UK exhibits a WW1 'over the top' trench management strategy...... people do not count !!
