Pros

Pay is good, flexible hours

Cons

The problem is straight forward. Management. They do not care about you, but pretend to only when they need something. You come into work everyday with a smile and ready to give your full dedication and heart to them and in return nothing. They gossip about you, make you feel less than human and when you have any grievances they act like they care but in reality will use that against you down the road to use as an excuse to fire you.

Good Company, Horrible Managers

Pros

The company gives co-op students an opportunity to gain work experience. Opportunity to work at home sometimes.

Cons

Management is a drain on this company. They all need a course on how to lead not manage. Managers should motivate employees not berate them. A large percentage of employees are leaving because some managers are extremely difficult to work with. Managers can be heard yelling and berating their employees on a constant basis. It starts from the COO down to the middle managers. The work place is very toxic and some employees are forced to go on stress leave. Some managers talk more and work less. Benefits and pay are not up to par with other companies in the same industry. There is a shockingly huge turnover at this company, there is no incentive to stay and no strategy to retain the employees. The company hires more people on contract and co-op students and waste a lot of time on training. Full-time employees are strained with work.

Good Employer

Pros

They are slightly above what I think most people probably expect as standard in terms of environment, benefits and perks. They are a fair company to their employees with a focus on the well being of their members.

Cons

The truth is it's really about who you end up with. If your manager is tight then you will have a pretty bad experience. You may end up with a manager who has a very old way of managing. So expect to have eyes over the shoulder, regular condescending talk downs and a mentality that bums in the seat equals better performance. It can be very demotivating for your entire team. I regularly hear the pain from other team members and I feel for them, along with my own gripes.
