Pros

Great group of co-workers. Many of whom have been with the company a decade+ On-site cafe which offers "half-off" prices to all employees On-site gym Breakrooms with coffee/tea Competitive benefits including ESPP Regular team lunches/dinners Often have flexibility to work from home or take time off when needed

Cons

Penny-wise/pound-foolish policies (not wanting to spend 1k now to save 10k in employee hours wasted) Bare-bones support staff (very few admins/HR/IT) IT is mainly offshore and makes the name "help desk" ironic. There is a general air of "waiting for the axe to fall" ever since the acquisition a few years ago. Many feel the question of if they will be let go is not "if" but "when." Especially if they are on the higher end of the pay scale.

Pros

Good growing company with better bonus and 401k match plans.

Cons

No job stability and very less perks. Work environment is getting worse.

Pros

Nice to use Google Tools and leave Microsoft stuff behind. I haven't touched my Windows laptop in weeks.

Cons

Health insurance options for 2018 are the worst I've had in 30 years in this industry. The HSA is a joke when your family deductible is $6,000 and you need regular prescriptions. My raise will be completely eaten up by out of pocket medical expenses. Other benefits are ok, but nothing really stands out. Hoping bonus and stock potential beats out the poor health insurance. Very unhappy to see folks with Broadcom offer letters get laid off anyway the day before the acquisition closed. Management's word clearly means nothing.
