Top ranking company in the tire industry. Strong brand and business foundation especially in Japan and U.S.

Cons

Old fashioned traditional Japanese company. Very conservative and people avoid challenges. Decisions are slow and require lot of in-house negotiations and reporting.

Cons

Employees hesitate to challenge and prefer non-risk. people (especially managers) care about the behavior of executives too much. when the executives visit the plant, managers ask employees to clean up the floor and paint the line of corridors. then, managers ask employees to wear new clothes to appeal to how the plant is managed cleanly.
