Most of the internship was spent in the Firestone retail store, primarily selling automotive services in addition to delivering tires/giving customers rides.

Very good production team. The hourly workers will support you as well as they possibly can if you are straight forward with them and try and make their jobs easier.

Cons

Engineering management team has fired three senior level engineers in the past seven months, lost two high potential younger engineers to other opportunities and lost one engineer to early retirement. The work environment for engineers is toxic, they expect long hours and poor working conditions. They provide no assistance in learning the systems and they will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat. It is the first time in a thirty year career I have ever been terminated, that coming off of a performance evaluation that said I was doing a great job.

If you're expecting to work with extremely smart people you will be greatly disappointed. There are many doers, but few leaders here. If you're looking to punch a clock, collect a paycheck and be held accountable for very little... this place is for you.
