Pros

Pretty good tuition remission, insurance options are good (no vision though), work-life balance is good

Cons

Limited evening classes and most bosses don't want you flexing your hours around class times; pay is at the bottom of the range for Boston area universities; no flex work policies, and when asked about them at the end of the pandemic, President Brown said "while you got your work done at home during the pandemic, did you get it done EFFICIENTLY?" so that doesn't bode well for the future.

Pros

I love the people that I work with - they are always supportive and encouraging. The benefits are also a huge perk, including travel for work, healthcare, tuition remission, etc.

Cons

There is not much room for upward mobility and those higher up the ladder are not always the most transparent or understanding of employees' wants/needs. It can be difficult to maintain a strong work/life balance. Things move slowly as well, but that is higher education in general, I think.

Pros

Tuition remission is good, but treatment is unregulated

Cons

Low pay, zero respect or flexibility
