Pros

Easy work, expectations are pretty low. Just show up on time. Done at 4:20 everyday, this is why employees stay many years. Corporate managers get product at cost, this is a steal for your family and friends. Benefits and work culture cater to older workers, those with seniority

Cons

Pay is well below market rate, $18 for a corporate job. Financially Big 5 is declining faster than their competition. Stock is at an all-time low, losing money some quarters. Morale is low at HQ... corporate lacks energy/momentum to right the ship. Uninspiring execs have no turnaround or growth plan. Spend most of their time arguing about the print ad colors.. Upper is management all old men and women, they reject technology and changing consumer ways. Costly mistakes are made in order to stick to the old ways such as print . Rigid time clock schedule. Outdated corporate culture. New ideas unwelcome. Depressing "business casual" dress code . Office is dark, dusty, filthy carpets, scuffed walls, cubicles crammed together, everything's done on paper so thousands of file cabinets. Endless styrofoam cups and plastic stirrers, no recycling or regard for the environment. No merit recognition program. Move up by kissing the old butts Getting harassed and yelled at by older workers who believe their way is better even though there's better managing ways of approaching and coaching the younger generation. Mental Health was in the toilet, from the constant poor workplace attitudes. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!

Pros

- They will honor the basic agreement of exchanging time and labor for currency. - If you are in California, you take lunch no later than your 5th hour during an 8hr shift. - If you are retired, in school, or recently graduated, for so-so pay, you can do pretty much whatever you want, they will work around your schedule, sometimes even last minute.

Cons

High potential for career stagnation. If you are in a salaried position, full advantage will be taken.
