Pros

I personally have been in many other jobs in the past and I did not think that I would enjoy it here as much as I do. The family that we have here at Overstock.com is incredible. There are so many people and everybody has different views. The diversity here is awesome, and most everybody cares about our family here and also the customers. I couldn't think of a place that I'm prouder to work at than Overstock.com.

Cons

The only problem that I have ever had with working at Overstock.com is the difference between shifts. It seems like there is always a fight between the people who work the daytime shift and the people who work the nighttime shift. I'm sure that situations like this happen at other places as well, but the amount of favoritism shown to certain shifts is a bit disheartening. Regardless, of all the gripes that one could have about a company, this is a small one.

Not a bad place to work

Pros

Some good people here. Seems to be a reasonably mature workplace, ie, no regular 60hour work weeks, people respected for the most part, etc.

Cons

small amount of PTO, most tech companies are moving to 4 weeks PTO combined with sick time is a very obnoxious policy Health plan just acceptable, could be much better. High level management sometimes random.

Pros

Overstock is good at hiring smart, motivated people and does not drag its feet when it needs to let someone go who is not cutting it. They do a good job of rewarding performance and are very reasonable about managing work/life balance. There is a lot of room for innovation and learning.

Cons

As mentioned above, you can easily be let go if you don't do a good job. I think this is a positive thing, but some people probably wouldn't like it.
