Pros

If you're able to work hard and be a self starter there are lots of opportunities to get involved and improve your career. Your coworkers are awesome to work with. Benefits are good, recently moved to a 100% match up to 6% on the 401k, vesting immediately.

Cons

In can be an ad hoc, fire drill environment. Things can be really hectic. Company priorities, goals seems to change every 6 months. The vision/goal of the company isn't always clear

Pros

The reason I am where I am today is because of the leadership I have experienced from such a great company. Overstock has wonderful benefits, and people who want to help you join the team. They have days for company parties to recognize all our hard work with prizes of things that you actually want, and they are not cheap. Most employees have never seen their executives be so involved with how the company grows and develops, and it's nice to know that the whole team is working toward a common goal.

Cons

Sometimes supervisors and managers forget what it's like to be where I am. You get complaints from both ends and work so hard to please management, and only get pulled asides if you do something wrong. They only tell you where you stand twice a year, which doesn't show if you're actually improving or not.

Pros

Overstock.com provides many benefits for the employees, which they are not required to do. Upper management does try to relate to the lower employees. There are the politics that you find in any company, but I feel that Overstock.com is better than most.

Cons

There are still those at the company that hire by who they know and not what they know. Don't expect to earn a mint working for Overstock.com. I have not had a raise in 3.5 years.
