Pros
The people, the tech, and the vision. The people are some of the most talented in the industry. They are smart, hard working, and collaborative. This is true of the IC’s all the way up to Patrick. The tech stack is a dream come true for any Developer, Analyst, or Engineer. At most companies, the backend/pipeline is the limitation. At Overstock, any idea can be implemented because of the foundation that has been built over the last 20 years. Patrick’s vision is what has, and will soon again, make Overstock.com the most profitable pure play retailer on the internet.
Cons
There have been bumps in the road and distractions from the vision over the years, but they don’t ever last long. The company recently went through one of the bigger distractions in its history, but has course corrected.
