Pros

The company is by far among THE BEST when it comes to employee satisfaction. They value their employees and go as far as to treat them to free products on a regular basis, guaranteed annual reviews which allow potential for wage increase based upon one's performance along with a high tendency to promote within the company. This is a company that you enjoy showing up for work because they know happy employees make happy customer experiences. Bath and Body Works is part of the Limited Brands company, which frequently receives awards and acknowledgement for both national and international excellence among sales, customer service, diversity, and their willingness to give back to local communities.

Cons

The scheduling is a bit unnerving. Shorter shifts than your average employer (averaging between 3-5 hours a day) and the company also schedules "call-in" shifts which limit the ability to plan ahead for personal life on days which an individual is scheduled for a "call-in" shift. Their products are ever changing, so employees are expected to learn both current and "retired" scents to ensure customer satisfaction and the ability to suggest similar fragrances which are current in the store. Learning hundreds of fragrances and their basic compositions gets tedious, but eases with more experience.

Pros

Very structured environment. Great place to learn management skills as well as operatonal skills.

Cons

No individuality here. Company really has no purpose other than making money.

Pros

The discount was pretty much the only redeemable thing about the job.

Cons

Poor management, disorganization, lack of communication, no proper feedback or help provided, poor training, "threw you in the fire", management talked down to employees, rude customers. It seemed as though there was no order to what they were doing, and didn't have any time for their employees whatsoever. Simple things such as getting a lock for your locker and getting your nametag seemed impossible to get from them. They did not explain anything in training and just threw you out there, and gave no feedback, good or bad. I couldn't even use my discount for the time I worked there; they messed something up and I could never get it fixed. Not a very pleasant work experience. As an employee, I felt jipped.
