Pros

Investment in IT is substantial, relatively open to new technology/solutions however don't expect support/help from anyone. Internal move policy, after 1year you can move to other team however your manager can oppose, crucial to do it politically. Prorbably highest salary in Praugue, don't hesitate to ask big pay if they want you. Be sure to negotiate it, coz bonus, promotions, salary increase are very very very difficult (BIG MONEY is eatedn in LONDON nothing is left for other location). Very good location, new, clean, some free drinks. Very good engineers however you will work and report with teams in London/NYK which consider you like outsourced workforce. If you have good relationship with lodnon team you don't need to work much, you can have very good work life balance. Barclays is a very good brand on your CV after a few years you can move abroad looking for much better opportunity

Cons

You will have a line Manager in prague and will work with team in lodnon, High probability that your line manager will not support you and will not know what you are doing. Knowledge sharing very poor, not part of the culture No trainings regarldess of what other are saying, at best you will have 1 tech training per year with limited choice and sometime questionable quality, there are soft skills of half a day but not clear to me what to do with it as there are not growth opportunities besides becoming a line manager. There are some finance training of half day, totaly useless as finance is very complex and requires much more time. Big management hierarchy, from you to ceo there are 8 levels. IT manager above your line manager are very incompetent, impressive. You need very good political skills and extreme good communication skills to make you stand out, do not think that you tech skills you bring you anything good (sooner something bad)
