It really depends on your VP / Manager. There is no clear view. Can be bad can be good. VPs are very powerfull. Definitely con = compensation and communication

Great department, supervisor was amazing to work with. Work was interesting and engaging. It was so positive and rewarding to work at a global company that had a driven woman as the president. Marlou was brilliant as a leader. She was approachable, she worked hard at the growth and value of the company. But when she left; the replacement was underwhelming and your typical sales guy. And of course he hired and promoted several other typical white men to upper management, despite the pool of candidates being diverse and extremely qualified.

Cons

The company talks a big game about growth and hire from within, but I am aware of numerous people had applied for positions with the company and the positions were given to people outside the company.
