Pros

Pay and Benefits were top tier! This is a large organization with many good programs to take advantage of... The key to success at BHP is relationship building. Technical skill nor aptitude rarely plays a role in selection at this organization.

Cons

There is no clear direction from management. Many instances of favoritism. Top talent is rarely recognized and mediocrity is frequently praised and promoted. I've never witnessed such gross incompetence at such high levels (and across so many functions/departments).

Pros

Salary, benefits, $2 lunch (although the quality is bad most of the time)

Cons

During my employment in this company, I learned that working hard, asking questions to expand knowledge (mostly due to the lack of training), and being a good team player mean nothing unless you are a brown noser, know how to BS and stroke younger managers' egos. I worked in a team where certain employees would get away with things (not doing their share of work, not stepping up, being ok with a fellow coworker doing their share of work and hide from extra work) and hard workers would get bullied/abused mentally over stupid things. It brings the morale down to see how management is ok with it. KPI process is biased. Good people and employees leave the company not wanting to deal with ridiculous stress and mental abuse coming from middle management.
