Pros

Fabulous benefits! They are really trying to change the corporate attitude.

Cons

All comes down to the bottom line. They lay off the wrong people and keep the ones who have no business being there. Then you lay off perfectly good hard working employees who would bend over backwards to help the team, just lacked some of the skills needed but really wanted to learn and would have with enough time.

Pros

BHP Billiton has good benefits, flexible schedule and opportunity for advancement. Gym and Cafeteria are subsidized.

Cons

The worse company I have ever worked. BHP has no regard for people if you are over forty. It is a revolving door, management has no training or education. They do not value people, no matter how hard you work.

Pros

Great benefits, trying to hard to change the macro management culture

Cons

Mining culture prevents the Petroleum business from adapting quickly to the current economic environment. Favoritism is rife and looking after one's own. Diversity council a Joke.
