Avoid Corporate HQ in NJ

Pros

Before old CEO retired, entrepreneurship, creativity and contributing to the bottom line was valued and rewarded. Corporate politics were kept in check. Now if you work at Avis Budget for any length of time, it makes you REALLY appreciate other, healthier corporate cultures.

Cons

Now that the previous CEO is gone, it's a whole new bad corporate back-stabbing environment. Lower management are overworked, underpaid and undervalued. Below VP, morale is AWFUL. Upper management is disingenuous.

Pros

If you were fortunate enough to purchase stocks at rock bottom you would have made a mint.

Cons

The company is no longer cares about the employees or the customers, its all about manipulating the stock price. Since Tom Gartland took over the company has become volatile at best. Employees especially at the corporate level are being replaced by incompetent YES men and women. At some point it will all come crashing down hurting those that helped build the company.

Very organized given the size of the company. Managers have lots of experience which makes it a good experience for the other employees. No politics and not to much PC stuff. You can just be yourself.

Cons

None so far in my experience.
