Pros

The pay and benefits were good, but only because the union fought hard for those things

Cons

Lets see, they do not care about their employees. Senior Management is grossly incompetent. The company seemingly has lost interest in customer service and customer satisfaction. It is a company in decline, i.e. a sinking ship.....

Pros

Compensation and benefits were good. There are some good individual contributors there, but are getting fewer and farther between. If you are in the right location (Silicon Valley, Denver, Pune) it could be an OK gig for a little while.

Cons

They don't care about the employees any more. Communication from management is poor. Strategies change too often. They have very few new products in the pipeline. And the products they do have never seem to get to completion before the exec change plans / direction. Compnay is surviving on old technology and products.

Pros

The pay is great for the work and you have the ability to telecommute. Because of the flexibility of telecommuting, I found that I had a decent balance between work and my personal life. I may need to stop working at 3, but I could pick back up at 9 that night.

Cons

There is very limited career advancement and that extends lateral moves. The fact that senior level jobs are now being handled overseas and so many people in the States are being laid off is a HUGE issue. In addition, morale has been so bad for a number of years and leadership has yet to even address the issue as far as I'm aware. Very sad.
