Pros

Avaya used to offer excellent benefits. They allowed for a good work/family life balance. Training was always readily available for all employees via online courses or books.

Cons

Continuous lay-offs since 2000. Lack of communication from senior management. Outsourcing jobs regardless of communication barriers and the amount of time it takes for internal and external customers to resolve issues.

Pros

Salary Flexible work locations Not much else.

Cons

No respect for growth in career. Take away more in benefits than it gives, No 401k match for over a year, no charitable match program. furlough over 2 years when the $$ in the bank is growing as reported by CEO. No raises or bonuses while sales folks get achievers club bonuses. Never knowing if you are secure and it is just a numbers game. I was downsized because after 30 years I earned too much. THey will not allow you training because it costs too much. On year they actually said you have to turn in a pencil to get another.
